Each week, between 350 and 400 float glass lines around the world yield about 1,000,000 tons of glass. The energy- and cost-intensive process produces more than 90 percent of the flat glass used in construction and automotive applications. This site offers a comprehensive look at the float glass manufacturing industry, identifying the dozens of float manufacturers operating hundreds of float locations around the globe.
